Wherever you go, remember to find your roots,
Or you would soon find yourself,
With just a stem,
Imagine a flower,
On a slippery branch around banana leaves,
But a wind, slight rain,
Or sun,
Anything can just bring you down,
To the ground,

Instead,
If you choose to understand,
Layers, roots,
And find a way to belong,
To this new world,
You just found,
Any storm,
You will have your support,
Your ground, to hold on to,
And hold you together through it all,

Remember to keep the leaves intact,
Don’t just depend on the roots,
Nurture them,
Help them grow,

We grow up,
Beyond our boundaries,
Within which we felt comfortable once,
Now, yes, they are still comfortable,
But you know,
You grew up, grew out of it,
You keep this connection,
This old which helped you grow,
Always intact irrespective,

But,
Remember
It won’t be that scary,
If you could somehow,
Find a new connection, another one,
Complimenting the old ones,
With strength, care,
Help sustain and empower you,
To go out there and look for a whole new world!
